LEQ result from AP World History

I got my first-ever 100 on an LEQ test! I’m very proud of myself, especially as I was not confident going into the test. I’m glad I was able to achieve the complexity point.

Our topic was the influence of religion on land-based empires during the period 1450-1750, and I wrote about the effect of Muslim interpretation of Islam that caused the Sunni and Shia rivalry between the Ottomans and the Safavids. Additionally, I wrote about the religious tolerance in the Mughal Empire up until Aurengzeb whose interpretation of Islam caused him to be an oppressive force towards the majority Hindu population. This led to the rise of the Marathas which also led to Aurengzeb depleting the economy by spending massive amounts of money of military campaigns, and indirectly later allowed the British East India Trading company to take advantage of the country.
